Camera and microphone permission: Edge

If your camera and microphone are blocked in Edge, there are a few steps to re-enable them for completing wellness checks:

Please ensure you're using Edge version 79+

How to enable your camera and microphone in the browser

  1. Select the lock icon located near the right side of your search bar - this is your privacy control centre

  2. Click to open the permissions dropdown menu for camera and microphone settings

  3. Enable access by setting both toggles to 'Allow'

  4. Refresh the browser tab (CTRL + R) to apply these changes

How to reset Edge permissions

Sometimes, a reset can help resolve access issues:

  1. Navigate to your wellness dashboard

  2. Click the lock icon to access 'Site Permissions'

  3. Select ‘Reset permissions’ followed by ‘Reset’

  4. Return to your Dashboard and refresh the page

  5. When prompted, select ‘Allow’ to enable camera and microphone access

If Using Edge on a Mobile Device (for smartphone and tablet users)

When starting your wellness check on Edge mobile:

  1. You'll receive a prompt to enable camera and microphone access

Select 'Allow' to ensure a smooth assessment experience

How to re-enable a blocked camera or mic

  1. Navigate to Privacy controls

  2. Select ‘Delete browsing data’

  3. After clearing, restart Edge

  4. Select ‘Delete browsing data’

  5. After clearing, restart Edge

How to reset Edge permissions

  1. Open your device's Settings app

  2. Go to Apps & App permissions

  3. Select Edge from your list of installed apps

  4. Open Permissions and ensure your camera and microphone are toggled on

  5. Restart your Edge app before logging in or resetting a wellness check
